To ensure the protection of sensitive data, hardware devices are used as security anchors in high-security products such as passports, but also in the Internet-of-Things (IoT) or automotive sectors. TÜViT's IT security experts test these components in accordance with recognized international security standards and perform the necessary penetration tests in the company's own hardware test lab. You will have the following responsibilities:

• You will strengthen our team in analyzing the security properties of hardware and firmware products, such as smart cards, as well as the cryptographic procedures implemented on them (e.g. AES, RSA, ECC).
• You will investigate complex facts and set priorities.
• You will analyze products, among other things, on the basis of the source code to derive attack vectors and test cases.
• You will take over the measurement and evaluation of side channel information (e.g. power consumption, radiation) and carry out active attacks (fault injection, e.g. using lasers).

• You have a university degree in a STEM field (B. Sc., M. Sc. or PhD).
• You are interested in topics related to the (non-)security of IT products.
• You have a general understanding of IT security, ideally complemented by knowledge in the fields of electrical engineering and cryptography.
• You enjoy communicating in a team environment and have good English language skills (written and spoken).
