Three months are over now!

Our first Kickbox-Program was a complete success and ended with the Demo Day on March 03, 2022. For the international participants it was three intense months, full of new insights and knowledge, coaching, ideas and ways of thinking as well as working on innovative solutions. The innovators presented their results in a 7-minute pitch to a jury and their colleagues worldwide via livestream.

With GeoLens, the team aims to enable data comparisons between different locations and identify trends and patterns across cities, regions, countries and even companies.

What's the idea you're working on?

We are developing a digital tool called GeoLens that will help identify future business opportunities based on ALTER TECHNOLOGY's current company data. Questions like: Where are my future customers located and what kind of services can we offer them, will be answered with GeoLens.

What have you learned so far

We have learned that validating ideas is key to the success of any project. Debunking them and looking for new, optimized solutions is also part of the process! The Kickbox is a great opportunity to get a deeper insight into the ideas.
Denise Hofman wants to pick up unsatisfied customers before they react emotionally.

What's the idea you're working on?

My project is called "Lightning Rod" and I am trying to reduce the number of our negative Google reviews by "picking up" potentially unsatisfied customers before they react emotionally. I want to create new tools for this.

Why did you join the Kickbox programm?

I was curious. And I wanted to do something away from the "daily work", learn something new and get in touch with colleagues from different Business Units and disciplines. My aim is a workable solution to a problem that is difficult to handle. I want to offer it to other companies in the Group later on.
Vitória Rodrigues and Lais Moreira work on their idea for TÜV NORD Mobility.
Vitória develops an app that puts into practice the importance of vehicle maintenance information. Lais is creating a digital solution that can help detect hidden repairs or vehicle identification tampering during vehicle inspections. David Rodríguez García and Emilio Cano García celebrate their idea "Supply Chain Observatory for Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical".

What idea are you working on?

Our project deals with a collaborative service focused on the space sector to predict potential problems in the supply chain. With our innovative idea, monitoring and decision making are optimally supported.

What did you learn in the Kickbox programme?

Through the program, I learned about a systematic way to innovate using different tools. And that data is important to be able to distinguish between assumption and certainty.

What idea are you working on?

In order to increase the efficiency of our work and provide clients with a simple and clear understanding of the documents to be submitted, I want to create a digital platform for document collection with self-learning AI analysis and extensible interfaces for further development and integration of new functions.

What did you learn through the Kickbox program?

What is your project about?

The main idea is to develop an integrated web application that customers can use as a solution for monitoring calibration and maintenance equipment. It also manages the internal process from A to Z. The goal is to reduce customer complaints and thereby increase customer loyalty.

Why are you participating in the kickboxing program?

It is interesting to know how to turn an idea into reality and how to innovate easily. We want to solve the problem creatively and achieve huge productivity gains.

1. Why do you participate in the kickbox programme?

Everyone in our team is passionate about innovation. This and the opportunity to participate in a global initiative of TÜV NORD GROUP, as well as the opportunity to network with other colleagues outside ALTER TECHNOLOGY, are reasons why we participate in the Kickbox programme.

2. What idea are you working on?

With our idea, we want to develop a collaborative platform for space technologies where industry players can create their own projects and search for other users with similar needs in order to build a common cost-sharing. ALTER TECHNOLOGY acts as a qualification laboratory.

1. Why do you participate in the kickbox programme?

I often have an idea and think about how great it would be to realise it. But it takes more than just a good idea to make a new product, service or business model a reality. I participate in the Kickbox programme because I want to learn how to develop real solution.

2. What problem are you working on?

I want to create a trusted and simple solution for everyday products, to bring together all the information you need in one verified label. Customers should be able to go to the supermarket and easily identify the products they are looking for - for a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

1. With which idea and why do you participate in this programme?

Our idea is an application of AI to predict the efficiency of radiation sources and receivers of components for space missions. This is a great opportunity for us to test AI capabilities and solve a real problem that is applicable to several areas in TÜV NORD GROUP.

2. What results are you hoping for?

Laying the foundation for a new service at ALTER TECHNOLOGY that can be extended to other areas.

Which online training tool is used in the kickbox

The implementation of ideas takes place via the online tool "Adobe Kickbox" and cannot be compared to conventional training. The special feature of the process is that all participants receive a so-called "kickbox" that contains various tools that can be used to work independently. In this way, innovative ideas can be implemented step by step.
