The kick-off meeting was joined by Mr Konrad and Mr Walter. Gene Wang, project manager from the Rail OBS in China, introduced the inspection work plan and the team members from TÜV NORD. Mike Walter: “Autonomous driving systems are the new trend in urban transit development. TÜV NORD will set up a strong team from Germany and China to ensure the smooth implementation of the project. TÜV NORD is also willing to support the development of urban rail transit in China with our depth of professional knowledge.”

When talking about the strategic cooperation with CRRC ZELC, Silvio Konrad pointed out: “Two years ago, I attended the TÜV NORD and CRRC Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony during InnoTrans. Given all the effort made by our railway staff, I’m so glad to have been able to watch the development of our business in the railway industry over the past two years. During this visit to CRRC, I’ve seen how big the Chinese market is and witnessed the expertise of our strategic partner, CRRC. I have confidence in the continued growth and long term development of the railway business.
