TÜV NORD Czech wins tender for lorry inspection for MAN

TÜV NORD will be inspecting 400 MAN lorries a year.

Major success in the Czech Republic: TÜV NORD Mobilität has come out on top in the tender for the assessment of used lorries for MAN’s TOP USED programme. “We’re very happy about this project and will now be inspecting 400 lorries a year,” says Antonín Jedlička, head of the Profit Centre in the Czech Republic and project leader. “We’ve already had a kick-off meeting in Prague with all the important contacts from MAN, including high-level management, and the German colleagues from TÜV NORD Mobilität who will be supporting us. We’ve agreed on October 2018 for the official kick-off.”

In order to get the best possible start, the vehicle experts will additionally be inducted by experts who have worked for MAN in Poland in the past. “We’ve been offering the same service in Germany and Poland for about eighteen months, and the fact that MAN has been so happy with us in the other countries has worked in our favour, which is also why we secured the contract,” says Ingo Albes, Director of International Business Development Europe. “The Czech inspectors will now not only refresh their knowledge but also train up in the requirements this specific customer has for the work and the reports.”

The fact that the VITA software will be used for the inspections has necessitated the rapid creation of a Czech language version. “Antonín Jedlička will also participate in the training to get more deeply involved in order to acquire the expertise he needs to steer the project to a successful conclusion,” relates Andreas Köhl, MAN Key Account Manager. “The contract is for three years with automatic prolongation, and we’re very pleased that our reliability has once again enabled us to win contracts in new countries.”
