Alexander Ohff takes over as Head of the Renewable Energies segment at TÜV NORD

Renewable energy and the Asia-Pacific region are the defining elements of Alexander Ohff's career.

Hamburg: On 1 April, Alexander Ohff was appointed Head of the Renewable Energies segment in the Industrial Services business unit of TÜV NORD. “We’re delighted that, with Alexander Ohff, we have acquired a specialist experienced in management and the energy sector. With his proven expertise and international experience, he will give further growth impetus to our successful renewable energy department,” says Silvio Konrad, General Manager at TÜV NORD.

Konrad has recently been in charge of the segment on an interim basis. “Together with Alexander Ohff, we won’t just safeguard our business but will continue to expand it, developing an ever more international focus and supporting our customers, be they manufacturers, developers or operators, even more closely with the aim of advancing the cause of renewable energies," Konrad continues.

Renewable energy, particularly in the offshore and onshore wind sectors, and the Asia-Pacific region, are the defining elements of Alexander Ohff's career. He started out as project manager at RWE Innogy, moving upwards through a range of senior commercial and technical positions. He then took on the task of regional management for the Asia-Pacific region at Enercon. Most recently, the graduate industrial engineer, who also boasts an additional MBA qualification, has been working as Executive Vice President Asia-Pacific at the World Forum Offshore Wind (WFO). Alexander Ohff grew up bilingual; his native languages are German and Chinese.
