Founded in 1964, INCOK, a member of TÜV NORD GROUP, entered its 50th year in 2014. Over the past 50 years, INCOK has been recognized as a pioneer in inspection & supervision service and grown into the No.1 Inspection Company in Korea. The Anniversary Ceremony was held in Seoul, Korea.
James Lee, CEO of TUV NORD Korea & INCOK, opened the ceremony with a welcoming speech. Dr. Dirk Stenkamp, Member of the Board of Management of TÜV NORD GROUP, and Dr. Ralf Jung, Managing Director of TÜV NORD Systems and Executive Manager in charge of Korea, also participated with a congratulatory speech.
Showing its long history in the Korean market, over a hundred customers, partners and officials from 85 companies and organizations joined the celebration. Among INCOK’s major customers who attended the ceremony were several engineering and construction companies like POSCO, KEPCO E&C, Hyundai Rotem, Korea Expressway Corp. KEC and Daewoo E&C. A congratulatory speech was given by POSCO and KEC which have a long history with INCOK: 36 years with POSCO and 14 years with KEC. Yong-Jung Kang from POSCO recalled: “POSCO and INCOK have a special history together. Since 1979, INCOK’s specialized inspection service for steel mill facilities has contributed to the quality of POSCO facilities which are globally known for their strong competitiveness.”
Today, INCOK’s business has developed into various areas: shop inspection for Steel Equipment & Facilities, Oil & Gas Plants, Industrial Facilities, Harbor Facilities and Offshore Facilities, Steel Bridge Supervision, and Stage Facility Safety Diagnosis. Recently, INCOK has also extended its service on Power Generation with KEPCO E&C.
INCOK is short for “Inspection Company of Korea”.
