Jörg Aign appointed Executive Vice President of Nuclear Technology segment at TÜV NORD

11 February 2019 | Company: Since 1 January, Jörg Aign has been in charge of the Nuclear segment in the Industry Service division.

Hamburg: On 1 January 2019, Jörg Aign was appointed as Executive Vice President of the Nuclear Technology segment in the Industrial Services business unit of TÜV NORD. He succeeds Astrid Petersen, who, as one of the directors of the business unit, is now operationally responsible for the entire Industry segment.

In addition to his position as Executive Vice President of Nuclear Technology, Jörg Aign has also been appointed Managing Director at TÜV NORD EnSys, where he joins Astrid Petersen and Mike Wöbbeking on the board of management.

Jörg Aign has been working for TÜV NORD EnSys since 2017. He most recently headed the waste disposal projects department. In this role, he was responsible for projects in nuclear waste disposal, product quality control as well as water law. In addition to that, he assumed responsibility for the development of the international project business. Before joining TÜV NORD EnSys, Jörg Aign has been working in the nuclear industries for more than ten years. Amongst other positions, he has been director of Decontamination, Dismantling and Remediation (DD&R) EMEA Operations at Westinghouse Electric Germany and spent almost two years at the nuclear regulatory authority in Kiel.
