TÜViT announced as new partner of the Dutch Data Center Association

TÜViT understood the relevance of the Netherlands in the data center environment and therefore decided to join the DDA.

The Netherlands do not only provide sophisticated IT-technology, but also have one of the most developed data center markets. Especially Amsterdam as one of the biggest data center markets in the world provides a steady growth rate and access to the second largest internet exchange point (AMS-IX). TÜViT understood the relevance of the Netherlands in the data center environment and therefore decided to join the Dutch Data Center Association in April 2019.

TÜViT is an unbiased and competent partner in assessments of mission critical infrastructures, availability aspects and energy efficiency of data centers. TÜViT provides neutral assistance in every phase of the data center life cycle, such as design, construction, commissioning and operation. For TUViT it was an important step to join the Dutch Data Center Association, that represents most of the Dutch data centers and therefore allows us to better understand the demands of the Dutch market.

Joachim Faulhaber, Global Product Manager Data Center, TÜViT

”For more than 17 years, we are a well-known data center evaluation and certification body operating in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, but we also show our presence in other international markets. The recent developments in the European standard EN 50600 and the important role of the Dutch data centers generate a spirit of optimism to us. With DDA as our partner, we see an optimal starting point to recommend our TSI (Trusted Site Infrastructure) and EN 50600 data center services to operators in the Netherlands and to discuss the benefits of our services with them.”

Stijn Grove, Managing Director of the DDA

”In a very short time, the digital economy has become the economy. We nowadays have to rely 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, on a new foundation: the data center infrastructure. This digital infrastructure forms the foundation for everything that happens online. With the increased importance of the data center infrastructure, assurances are also becoming more important. TÜViT is among the strongest European players when it comes to assessments and certification in the data center industry. Which is why we, as national Data Center Association, are very happy to welcome TÜViT as a partner and look very much forward in working closely together.”

Avoiding downtime

For operators of data centers and other critical infrastructures, it is crucial for their business to have security risks objectively identified and professionally evaluated. TÜViT carries this out in the form of quality controls, testing, auditing and certifying according to the criteria catalogs TSI.EN50600 and TSI.STANDARD. In the process of developing or expanding data centers, operators gain planning certainty by using the TSI/EN50600 approach. The certificate confirms a high availability of a data center. It can be used as a weighty argument and competitive advantage towards authorities, in-house auditors or certified public accountants.
