Hannover/Hamburg: As of 1 January 2021, Astrid Petersen (52) assumes responsibility for the HR portfolio and the office of Labour Director in the Board of Management of TÜV NORD AG. She replaces Harald Reutter, who left the Board of Management at the end of the year as scheduled and went into retirement.
Astrid Petersen becomes the third member of the new-look Board of Management team of TÜV NORD AG alongside Chairman Dirk Stenkamp and Finance Director Jürgen Himmelsbach.

Thanks to my many years of operational experience, I’m very familiar with the requirements of the business. I’m very well positioned to bring this perspective to Human Resources management and my future work as Labour Director. Here, I set great store by collaboration in a spirit of trust, open and transparent communication and an active culture of feedback so that we learn from our mistakes,” says Astrid Petersen.
Petersen, who holds a doctorate in physics, joined the Industrial Services business unit of the TÜV NORD GROUP from GNS Gesellschaft für Nuklear-Service in 2016, initially as Managing Director of TÜV NORD EnSys. In December 2018, she was appointed to the board of management of the company TÜV NORD Systems and, as Chief Operating Officer, took on the management of the Industry Strategic Business Segment in the Industrial Services business unit.
Petersen studied physics at the Justus-Liebig University in Giessen. She was awarded her doctorate in experimental physics in 1998. Prior to joining GNS, the Mülheim native held management positions at Framatome and Siemens.
