TÜV NORD successfully assisted REFIRE obtaining E-mark certificate for its fuel cell acc. ECE R10

10 May 2021 | Industrial Services: For the first time, TÜV NORD has conducted assessments for a Chinese fuel cell company to comply with EU standards.

On May 10, 2021, the ceremony of the RDW initial assessment and the EMC certificate for the PRISMA VI fuel cell system products was held successfully in REFIRE headquarters in Shanghai. Obtaining this certificate indicates that REFIRE has reached EU standards in terms of conformity of production management and met the fuel cell product technical requirements. This is also the first time that TÜV NORD has conducted a series of rigorous audits and assessments on a domestic fuel cell company in China, and helped companies obtain such certificates.

Jun REN, Regional Manager of TÜV NORD Greater China said at the ceremony: “As an international technical service expert, it is a pleasure for TÜV NORD to work with local companies in China that have global ambitions. We congratulate REFIRE for obtaining the certifications and wish it success in further advancing its technology”. He expressed that under the background of promoting carbon neutrality and emission reduction, TÜV NORD has been committed to the field of energy conservation and emission reduction, and can use its rich experience to provide enterprises with professional technical services.

Robin Lin, Founder, Chairman and CEO of REFIRE said at the ceremony: “The environmental and technical advantages of hydrogen fuel cells have been known for decade. Now companies in both Europe and Asia are working synergistically to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen and fuel cells in end-user applications. REFIRE was founded on the principle of collaboration because we believe that local and global partnerships are essential to achieve a market breakthrough. We are proud to be granted these certificates assisting by TÜV NORD, as we can now further expand our international collaborations and push towards REFIRE’s vision of mass adoption of hydrogen mobility and power.”

At the ceremony, TÜV NORD and REFIRE reviewed the project cooperation process and shared their experiences. At present, the development of hydrogen energy is in a period of major opportunities for rapid development. The two parties have conducted sufficient exchanges on hydrogen energy project cooperation, and hope to strengthen information exchange and cooperation in multiple fields in the future, especially in the functional safety and cybersecurity related to hydrogen. EMC, renewable energy and other fields.

As the world's leading technical service expert, TÜV NORD can help local customers in global cooperation, and promote the coordinated development of global industries with innovative technologies and concepts, to provide more market customers with high-quality and reliable clean power solutions and to accelerate the achievement of global social carbon neutrality goals.
