Industrial Services

Mission

The Industrial Services business unit ensures the safety and protection of life, resources and assets with innovative and value-added solutions for our customers and their success.

 

Strategy

The Industrial Services business unit offers a broad portfolio of innovative and value-added services along the value chain and continues to expand its global presence in order to strengthen its position as a top player in the global TIC market (Testing, Inspection, Certification) and to be the reliable first choice partner for TIC customers worldwide.

Engineering and Natural Resources

Mission

Creating sustainable and additional benefits for our customers is our business. Excellence and innovation in engineering and consulting is our mission. Our focus is on the infrastructure, machinery, plant construction and natural resources markets. Digitalisation and internationalisation are the keys to this.

 

Strategy

Implementation of the catalogue of measures (6 clusters of measures) from the growth strategy of the Engineering and Natural Resources business unit, including reorganisation. Profitable growth primarily in existing national and international markets. Expansion in the engineering business.

Mobility

Mission

Increasing the safety of mobility concepts is our mission. We build on technological and operational excellence – customer-focused, employee-oriented and committed to sustainability.

 

Strategy

The Mobility business unit is consistently developing its own portfolio, transforming existing business models and expanding into new areas of activity. The aim is to offer customers added value, meet  social responsibility and sustainably strengthen its own market position and positioning as top partner for safety both nationally and internationally.

Aerospace

Mission

Our mission is to meet the highest requirements, providing solutions to the most challenging problems that help our customers succeed.

 

Strategy

Our goals: growth & profitability while we ensure to be positioned as the benchmark in the niche international markets in which we are working on, providing specialized and high added value services, focusing on new technologies, digitization and disruptive trends arisen around our target markets.

Training

Mission

TNB: As a training provider, TÜV NORD Bildung acts in the interests of its customers. TNB systematically develops people's skills. Their individual needs, the demands of working life and current market developments are taken into account.

TNA: We provide cross-sector practical knowledge for the security, business success and personal development of our customers. Our innovative training services are oriented on current standards, tomorrow's knowledge and individual customer needs. 

 

Strategy

TNB: By developing and expanding new segments on the social and educational market, we are increasing our market presence and reducing our dependence on the SGB II / SGB III market. We strengthen our core business and push the expansion in new areas of demand.

TNA: We grow where we are best by investing in digitalisation and innovation and by expanding our implementation strength and culture of innovation. We turn learning into an experience and in this way also raise knowledge work in TÜV NORD GROUP to a new level. 

IT

Mission

In an increasingly digital world, our technological excellence will continue to be the decisive factor for confidence in reliability and availability of complex IT application scenarios and systems. The key to this is our expertise in cyber security in the digital infrastructure.

 

Strategy

Our vision is reflected in a cross-sector, global growth strategy. As "Secure Digital TÜV", we are developing a leading position in the TÜV NORD GROUP. We bundle security expertise for information and communication technologies (ICT) and constantly conquer new areas of knowledge. With this expertise, we actively set standards and the foundation for secure, digital infrastructures and organisations for our customers.

Why do we need Strategy2025 – hasn’t each business unit already set its course for the future?

Strategy2025 is the shared context for the direction of the TÜV NORD GROUP in the years from 2021 to 2025. The strategies of the business and functional units form a symbiotic whole, supported by the Group‘s central units. Strategy2025 is the foundation for our shared achievement of our ambitious goals.

What is changing?

The TÜV NORD GROUP is continuing to develop. With Strategy2025, we’re setting the tone in a rapidly changing world with our progressive digitalisation and impetus for social change. Strategy2025 focuses on the requirements of our customers, complemented by the need for sustainability.

Which global megatrends have informed the TÜV NORD GROUP’s strategy?

Digitalisation, sustainability, safety, individualisation, globalisation.

Why do I have to be familiar with Strategy2025 as an operationally active employee?

It’s the employees of the TÜV NORD GROUP who will implement Strategy2025 operationally and bring it to life. Each of us has an individual contribution to make. Only together will we be successful, and we won’t come together unless we know our individual personal roles in the team.

How can I support innovation in my field of work?

When it comes to their customers and their work environment, our employees know best. The Group and the business units seek to motivate our employees even more to actively participate in innovations, new services and the further development of our internal processes.
