TÜV NORD Mobilität has set the seal on its cooperation with CCAP (China Certification Center for Automotive Products) in China with a cooperation agreement. CCAP is one of 3 state-owned enterprises responsible for nominating organisations for the award of CCC certificates for the automotive sector in China for AQSIQ (Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine).

With its portfolio, CCAP is strongly geared to the automotive sector, making it an ideal partner for TÜV NORD Mobility Shanghai Co. Ltd, the business in China responsible for the homologation trade of TÜV NORD Mobilität. The cooperation includes mutual involvement in homologation activities in the framework of CCC (China) and e/E mark (EU), exchanges of information and the alignment of systems in the context of the harmonisation of Chinese and European rules and regulations, and support for CCAP in the framework of CoP tests in Europe.

“This cooperation is an important milestone in the further internationalisation of our business, especially in the Asian region,” emphasises Carsten Winkelbach, Director of the Institute for Vehicle Technology and Mobility (IFM) and CEO of TÜV NORD Mobility Shanghai Co. Ltd.

As Haobo Wang, General Manager of TNM Shanghai Co. Ltd., explains: “This collaboration would not have been possible without our many years of fruitful cooperation with CCAP. In the future we will be able to reach out to a broader spectrum of customers with a special interest in multiple certifications (E-Mark, CCC, Inmetro etc.).”

The cooperation agreement was sealed on 29 June at an official ceremony in Beijing.
