High rate of participation, strong identification with the company

The second employee survey of the TÜV NORD GROUP took place from 20 November to 8 December. The survey was conducted by the GFK EOR Institute, which has already started to evaluate it. The reports on the results will be published in the coming weeks. Two important key indicators have, however, already been identified: The participation rate and the “engagement index”. While the participation rate indicates what percentage of the workforce took part, the engagement index shows the emotional commitment of the employees to their company on a scale of 1-100. The index was determined by taking the average values from the answers to six questions on the topic of employee commitment.

A total of 6,593 employees completed the survey, representing 63.5 percent of all the employees of the TÜV NORD GROUP. This is 6.3 percentage points more than in the first survey in 2014. “I’d like to thank all employees very sincerely for this high participation rate,” said Member of the Board of Management Harald Reutter. “And I’m particularly delighted that our staff continue to identify very strongly with our company. This is confirmed by the commitment figure of 74, which is one point higher than the already high value in our first survey.”

The results of the employee survey will be available from the end of January. The main areas of action for the TÜV NORD GROUP will then be derived and communicated. The specific results from the individual areas/departments will be presented to their staff by the respective managers. The individual teams will analyse the findings and derive, plan and put in place measures for improvement.
