Second Group-wide online employee survey: Share your views, shape the future

This year, all the employees of the TÜV NORD GROUP are being invited to take part in the second Group-wide employee survey under the slogan “Share your views, shape the future”. From 20 November to 8 December, every employee can anonymously voice his or her opinion on the important issues of the group.

The results of the online survey are intended to show where things are going well but also to reveal any hitherto unrevealed weaknesses. Employees can actively shape their own working environment with their assessments, suggestions, praise and criticism.

“The employee survey is an important feedback tool. It offers pointers for the successful further development of our Group. Which is why every opinion matters to us,” says Board member for Human Resources Harald Reutter.

In 2014, almost 60 percent of all employees both in Germany and abroad participated in the first survey. A total of 1,200 improvement measures have been derived from the results and initiated across the Group. These have included improvements at team level but also extensive programmes and process optimisations in the business units.

Employee surveys are to be repeated at regular intervals because they give a comprehensive picture of the levels of motivation and views of the staff. Comparing the results makes it possible to identify positive and negative trends and to respond appropriately to them.

So that the results from 2017 can be compared with those from 2014, the survey contains virtually the same questions as its predecessor, with just a few exceptions. The respondents will be asked for their views on 16 thematic fields, including tasks/work and career development, alongside leadership, innovation and digitalisation. The TÜV NORD GROUP will once again be working with the GfK Employee Organizational Research market research institute, which guarantees privacy and anonymity. Every participant will be mailed a link to a questionnaire and have the opportunity to complete it anonymously online.

Coordinators (general managers or personnel directors) in the individual TÜV NORD companies will actively support the survey. They will provide information, answer questions and support the follow-up process as points of contact.

What was true before applies again this time: the higher the numbers of staff taking part, the clearer and more representative the results will be.
