Korean Lunar Exploration Program

ALTER TECHNOLOGY is carrying out the procurement and testing for the high reliability electronic components that will be used on-board the Korean Lunar Exploration Program (KLEP).

KLEP involves the development of Korea’s first lunar probe and acquisition of the basic technology needed for lunar exploration, such as an orbiter, a landing module, a scientific payload and deep space communication.

The first phase is the development of the Pathfinder lunar orbiter, in which the core technology for space exploration will be secured, a deep space telecommunication network established, and the technology for payloads developed.

ATN has been working with its customer, the national institution KARI, which is the acronym for Korea Aerospace Research Institute, for many years. It recently procured and tested the electronic components for the new Korean Multi-Purpose Satellite (KOMPSAT).
