Expansion of the DMT management board

The DMT group expanded its management board effective 01.01.2018. Joining Prof. Dr Eiko Räkers and Mr Ulrich Pröpper as Managing Directors are Dr Maik Tiedemann und Jens-Peter Lux, whose concepts and input will help to strengthen the strategic and operative development of the DMT group. The new management board will focus on expanding DMT's engineering services, internationalisation, innovation and growth, in line with the targets and demands of the TÜV NORD GROUP.

Dr Tiedemann previously worked as Division Manager for MAN Diesel & Turbo, successfully developing the company's worldwide turbomachinery service business. For the next six months he will be introduced to the DMT group by Prof. Dr Räkers and will then take over from him as Chairman of the Board on 01.07.2018. In this function he will be predominantly responsible for the business development of the DMT group, the Industrial Engineering division (InE) and the strategic orientation of controlling, sales and marketing and quality and environmental management. Furthermore, he will be in charge of external communications and will represent DMT within the TÜV NORD GROUP board of management.

Mr Lux, who has held various managerial positions at DMT in the last 15 years, is now responsible for the divisions Geo Engineering and Exploration (GEE) and Mining Consulting & Engineering (MCE), as well as implementing sales strategy, contractual law and company insurance. He also shares responsibility for the business segment Exploration Seismic, corporate investment management and technical development in the fields of engineering, infrastructure and mining.

Alongside his responsibility for the division Plant & Product Safety (APS) and joint responsibility for the business segment Exploration Seismic, Mr Pröpper continues to manage the strategic development of Human Resources / Services (HRS) – including the topics occupational health & safety, labour law, social welfare and internal communication. He is also in charge of finance and accounting, commercial controlling and strategic development in the areas of data protection and procurement.

After introducing Dr Tiedemann to the strategies, structures and processes of the DMT group, Prof. Dr Räkers will retire as Chairman of the Board on 30.06.2018 and leave DMT after 37 successful years with the company.
