TÜV NORD GROUP investing in innovations and IT security

The TÜV NORD GROUP has now recorded growth for three years in a row, and all the relevant key ratios increased in 2016. Revenues increased to € 1,153.6 million; operating profit before neutral result rose by 12 percent to € 69.8 million. “All the business units have contributed to the good result,” said Chairman of the Board of Management Dr Dirk Stenkamp at his first press conference in Hanover.

TÜV NORD GROUP: Industrial Services under new management

The Board of TÜV NORD Systems has been reorganised with effect from 1 April 2017. It now consists of Dr Ralf Jung as Chairman of the Board of Management, alongside Silvio Konrad, Yves Schoen and Ulf Theike. The Board of TÜV NORD Systems also manages the Industrial Services business unit of the TÜV NORD GROUP.

Getting new PowerPoint presentations checked

Anyone who has just converted presentations to the new TÜV NORD slide master can now have their slides checked. “With our team of media designers we will gladly look at three presentations and give out tips,” says Dunja Kollien from the TÜV NORD Akademie.

TUV India completes drone-based assessment

TUV India has for the first time conducted an assessment and inspection of a solar power project using an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), popularly known as a drone. The 25MW solar power plant is located about 160 km from Bengaluru in Southern India and is spread over 90 acres.

Bahrain Youth and Sport Ministry certified

TÜV Middle East has certified the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Bahrain in accordance with the ISO 20121 standard. “This is the first time we have issued this certificate in the Middle East,” says TÜV Middle East Vice-President Manoj Shetty.

Dr Lars Sitzki presented with the IEC Award

Dr Lars Sitzki, Managing Director of TÜV NORD Southern Africa, has been singled out for an IEC 1906 award. The award was presented at a recent global IEC congress in front of 4,000 participants from 80 countries.

South Africa: DMT Kai-Batla wins water management contract

The DMT subsidiary DMT Kai-Batla has been awarded a contract by the Department for Water and Sanitation of the Republic of South Africa (DWS) for the assessment of industrial water use in three of the nine water management areas in South Africa.
