Alexander Holle took over the management of the TÜV NORD GROUP's HydroHub on April 1, 2024. The HydroHub is an initiative of TÜV NORD GROUP companies to support energy companies, industries and municipalities with engineering, consulting and training in the field of hydrogen. Alexander Holle is Senior Consultant at DMT ENERGY ENGINEERS. Hydrogen expert Frank Koch, Senior Consultant at DMT ENERGY ENGINEERS, has also taken on a new position as Head of the HydroHub. Holle and Koch succeed Carsten Gelhard, who has taken on a new role at TÜV NORD International.
Alexander Holle has been with the TÜV NORD GROUP since 2017 and has previously worked as a Senior Consultant in the fields of mobility, innovation management and product development. “By supporting the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy in an advisory and planning capacity, we are already making an essential contribution to the economy, society and the environment. I am looking forward to the new tasks with the HydroHub team and our large Group network,” says Alexander Holle.
Hydrogen is one of the central building blocks of future energy systems and will play a key role worldwide as a versatile energy carrier. Safety and sustainability are integral components along the entire hydrogen value chain. The TÜV NORD GROUP supports companies and organizations in the hydrogen segment in the key topics of H2 Readiness (new infrastructure), H2 Second-Life (conversion of existing infrastructure), H2 Import/Export and H2 Sustainability (sustainability assessments). The HydroHub was established in 2021 as an initiative of TÜV NORD GROUP companies to provide customers with a central point of contact for Group-wide consulting, engineering and training services. Current projects focus, for example, on intelligent sector coupling, storage systems, site developments, hydrogen import strategies or assessments of carrier substances, such as a recent study for the World Energy Council Germany on the use of ammonia.
