Accessibility statement

Accessibility is a central component of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD). This convention, which was adopted in 2006 and is legally binding in many countries, including Germany, aims to strengthen the rights of persons with disabilities and ensure their full and equal participation in society.

The TÜV NORD GROUP supports this important goal.

The TÜV NORD GROUP strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with national legislation on accessibility, such as the BFSG with BFSGV.

This digital accessibility statement applies to all websites of the TÜV NORD GROUP, which are technically implemented by TÜV NORD Service GmbH.

Status of compliance with requirements

June 2025

This website is partially compliant with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of content for persons with disabilities due to the following exceptions.

The following content is not accessible

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

  • Video captions: Some videos do not have captions. For newly posted videos, we will endeavor to provide captions as soon as possible after publication.
  • Alternatives for audio files and silent videos: Some audio files do not have text alternatives.
  • Recorded videos with subtitles: If the audio track of a recorded video contains information, subtitles must be provided as an alternative. This is currently not the case for all videos.
  • Alternative texts for control elements: Graphical control elements must be provided with alternative texts. This is not yet the case throughout the website.
  • PDF downloads: Downloads should be accessible. Currently, numerous older PDF downloads are available in the system, some of which are not accessible. We strive to make newly uploaded PDF files accessible.
  • Usable without colors: Information conveyed through colors should also be available without color perception, i.e., it should be highlighted by other means (such as bold or indentation). This is not yet the case for some cartographic data. When creating new graphics and control elements, we strive to clearly highlight lines and areas even without color information.
  • Text contrast: The contrast ratio between the foreground and background colors should be at least 4.5:1 for text. The contrast requirements are not yet met on all subpages.

Please report any barriers to us – we welcome your feedback on accessibility. You can reach us at this email address: info@tuev-nord.de.

Enforcement procedure

The Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Disabled Persons has a conciliation office in accordance with Section 16 of the BGG. The conciliation office is responsible for resolving conflicts between people with disabilities and federal public authorities.

You can contact the conciliation office if you are not satisfied with the responses you receive from the above contact option. The aim is not to find winners or losers. Rather, the goal is to find a solution to a problem together and out of court with the help of the conciliation office.

The conciliation procedure is free of charge. You do not need legal assistance.

You can find all the information you need about the conciliation procedure on the conciliation board's website. There you can read about how a conciliation procedure works and how to apply for conciliation. You can also submit your application in simplified language or in German sign language.
