Hans Koopman strengthens TÜV NORD EnSys management team

Hans Koopman, 42, has been Managing Director of TÜV NORD EnSys since July 1, 2024. He also heads the Clean Energy Solutions business field of the TÜV NORD GROUP's global Energy & Resources business unit. Silvio Konrad remains Chairman of the Management Board of TÜV NORD EnSys.
Hans Koopman brings over 15 years of experience in the energy sector from his activities at Siemens Energy, including positions in commissioning, research and development, purchasing and sales. While his responsibilities were initially in the field of nuclear technologies, over the last six years they have shifted towards renewable energy and green hydrogen.
“I am looking forward to being able to combine the three business segments of nuclear technology, new energy systems and hydrogen at TÜV NORD. The challenges of the climate crisis require all the stops to be pulled out for sustainable solutions. TÜV NORD has the expertise to provide technical support and help shape the energy transition in Germany and internationally,” says Hans Koopman.
Born in the Netherlands, he holds a Master's degree in Applied Physics from TU Delft with a degree in Nuclear Engineering; he completed his doctorate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Hans Koopman also has a degree in economics from the Fern-Uni Hagen.

TÜV NORD EnSys' expertise lies in energy generation and distribution, with a major focus on nuclear technology and new, decentralized energy solutions such as sector coupling, hydrogen and battery storage - these form the Clean Energy Solutions business field. The second focus of TÜV NORD EnSys is the Renewables Business Field, which concentrates on wind energy, photovoltaics and other renewable energies.
