TUV India celebrated world Food Day along with AFTSI, FSSAI and Dayanand Sagar University at Bangalore.

Association of Food Scientists & Technologists (AFTSI) along with Dayanand Sagar University and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) organized event to celebrate World Food Day at Dayananda Sagar University, Kumaraswamy layout at Bangalore. The theme of the day was based as per FAO Mandate “Action across sectors to make healthy & sustainable diets affordable, accessible to everyone.” TUV India along with ITC sponsored the event and it was coordinated by Cloud Tail.

Dr.Muthumaran, FSSAI, Director, Southern Region was present at the event as Chief Guest. He apprised the audience about FSSAI responsibilities along with safety & nutritional elements for right food, he also briefed about new amendments, schemes and draft regulations. Participants also got some glimpses related to fortification through few videos shown during the session.

Other eminent speaker for the event was Dr.D.B Anantha Narayan ,EX Director Dabur Research Foundation, he spoke about importance of Nutraceutical benefits of foods, Anemia in children & elders due to lack of nutraceutical deficiency.

Mr. Krishna Kumar Joshi from ITC presented about Healthy, sustainable, affordable & accessible diet. He also spoke about fortified food benefits. Mr. Sachin, from cloud tail shared his views about replacement of traditional meat with natural plant meat products, global acceptance and trends in Indian market.

TUV India food testing team members Mr Satya Srinivas, Mr C R Chandrasekhar,Mr Chinmay and Mr Nandan were part of the event. TUV India Food Certification and Inspection Team was represented by Ms Anamika and Mr Swaroop.
