Corporate: The Supervisory Board of TÜV NORD AG today decided to realign the Board of Management.
The Supervisory Board of TÜV NORD AG today decided on a realignment of the Board of Management, thus consistently positioning the Group for the continuation of its international growth and innovation strategy until 2030.
Ringo Schmelzer, Chief Operative Officer (COO), has been appointed to the Group Board of Management. The graduate aerospace engineer joined the TÜV NORD GROUP in 2023 from Lufthansa Technik and is currently Managing Director of TÜV NORD Systems. Schmelzer will take up his position on the Board of Management on December 1, 2024.
The contract of CFO Jürgen Himmelsbach has been extended. Himmelsbach will thus continue to be responsible for Finance, Legal, Controlling and M&A.

With immediate effect, TÜV NORD CEO Dr. Dirk Stenkamp will head the Human Resources Board Division in addition to his duties as Chairman of the Board of Management until further notice. Chief Human Resources Officer and Labour Director Dr. Astrid Petersen will leave the Board of Management.
