Pace4Plants

Into nature for the good cause

Trees were the focus of TÜV NORD's commitment to climate protection this year. In the "pace4plants" campaign supported by MEDITÜV and Corporate Health Management, our colleagues around the world donated the steps they walked and ran to one of five reforestation projects.

The result of the four-week challenge is impressive:

On an interactive platform on the intranet, participants could document their successes and also post photos of favorite places and running routes.

The most popular project was that of the Stiftung Unternehmen Wald, which is working to replace destroyed mixed forests in the Ruhr region, among other places. Ecosia's commitment to protecting wildlife in India was also supported by many colleagues. Ecosia converts old palm oil plantations into forests and thus creates new habitats for animals. The most steps per person was achieved by the team committed to the protection of downy oaks in the Kaiserstuhl region of the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald landscape conservation association. This project was included at the request of our colleagues in the Sustainability department. The Togo project of natureOffice and the mixed forest in Nicaragua of Primaklima also received tree seedlings.
