The semiconductor specialist HTV, part of the TÜV NORD GROUP's Digital & Semiconductor business unit, is creating additional capacity for the programming and testing of electronic components in order to be able to respond even more quickly to the individual needs of the semiconductor industry in Germany and Europe. The Bensheim-based company is investing more than one million euros in additional state-of-the-art, fully automated machines. In doing so, HTV is supporting the European Union's goal of expanding European semiconductor production and becoming less dependent on Asian suppliers. “Our machine park is in an excellent position and we intend to expand this capacity even further through further investments,” says Frank Seiler, HTV's Head of Production & Services. “We have programming equipment from all the well-known manufacturers in the industry,” continues Seiler.
The semiconductor specialist offers automated semiconductor testing and programming to companies setting up or expanding in Germany and the EU. “With our central location in Europe, we enable companies from various industries to outsource their semiconductor backend processes on an individual and broad basis. HTV thus plays an important role for OSAT services (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) in Germany and Europe,” says Holger Krumme, HTV Managing Director.
With the newly acquired capacities, HTV can also provide immediate support, offer very fast delivery times and thus protect companies from bottlenecks in production. The semiconductor specialist enables high-precision 3D lead inspection even before programming in order to check the component connections of electronic components. This allows the experts to detect defects at an early stage, sort them out and guarantee seamless further processing.
