The success story of GFÜ GmbH began with the first vehicle inspection centres in Mainz-Hechtsheim (33 Robert-Bosch-Straße, next to the Kaiser haulage company) and Alzey-Weinheim. Due to the steadily growing demand from customers, it soon became necessary to expand the premises.
In May 1998, a new testing centre was opened in Alzey – right next to the vehicle registration office. At the same time, operations in Alzey-Weinheim were discontinued. December of the same year saw another milestone: the opening of our modern testing centre in Klein-Winternheim in the ‘Am Berg’ industrial estate, directly on the A63 (Klein-Winternheim exit). This became the company’s new headquarters, whilst the site in Mainz-Hechtsheim remained in operation.
After around ten years in Alzey, a new, conveniently located test centre was opened in the Alzey industrial estate in 2007 to offer our customers an even better service.
Our steady growth continued: in March 2018, we expanded our network with a further testing centre in Ockenheim.
