TÜV Middle East is entering the e-learning training market. The company has set up a cooperation with UK-based Astutis, which offers trainings and consultancy services to individuals and organisations all over the world in the occupational health, safety and environment segments. “We’re proud of the fact that our digitalisation strategy has now led to the launch of our e-learning service,” says Manoj Shetty, Deputy Vice President of TÜV Middle East. The courses will be provided on the Astutis platform, but new courses will be offered under the TÜV NORD brand.

“We’re starting with trainings in the field of occupational health and safety,” adds Mr Shetty. All courses are accredited or recognised by the IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) and NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety), both of which are based in the UK.

Oil and gas, petrochemicals, construction and engineering are the industries from which TÜV Middle East expects new customers for the e-learning platform. Health and safety play an important role. In all these business sectors TÜV Middle East also enjoys a good reputation.

The trainings will be completely digital, says Manoj Shetty. In the event of questions, a trainer will step in to give answers by e-mail or in an online chat.
